LightWell Terms & Conditions

Welcome to LightWell, a devotional and Bible engagement application operated by Deaf Millennial Project (“LightWell,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the LightWell app (“Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Service.

1. About LightWell

LightWell is a free mobile application designed to help users grow spiritually through devotionals, Bible reading plans, Scripture resources, educational content, and community features designed with accessibility in mind, including content for the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing community.

LightWell is provided as a ministry resource by Deaf Millennial Project.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

3. User Accounts

Certain features may require you to create an account.

You agree to:

• Provide accurate and current information.
• Maintain the security of your account credentials.
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
• Accept responsibility for activities occurring under your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
• Harass, threaten, abuse, or harm others.
• Upload content that is defamatory, hateful, obscene, or offensive.
• Impersonate another person or organization.
• Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules.

5. User Content

If you submit content such as comments, prayer requests, notes, profile information, messages, or other materials through the Service:

• You retain ownership of your content.
• You grant LightWell a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for operating and improving the Service.
• You represent that you have the rights necessary to share such content.

We may remove content that violates these Terms or applicable laws.

6. Intellectual Property

The LightWell application, including its design, branding, logos, videos, devotionals, educational materials, software, graphics, and other content provided by LightWell, is owned by Deaf Millennial Project or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not:

• Copy, reproduce, sell, or redistribute LightWell content without permission.
• Reverse engineer or modify the application.
• Use LightWell trademarks without written authorization.

7. Third-Party Resources

LightWell may provide access to third-party content, websites, Bible resources, APIs, videos, or services.

We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, privacy practices, or services.

Your use of third-party resources is subject to their own terms and policies.

8. No Fees or Subscriptions

LightWell is currently provided free of charge.

• No subscription is required to access the Service.
• No recurring fees are charged through the application.
• Certain third-party services accessed through LightWell may have their own fees or terms, which are separate from LightWell.

If LightWell introduces paid features in the future, users will be provided notice and updated terms before any purchase is required.

9. Ministry and Educational Purpose

LightWell provides Christian devotional, educational, and spiritual content for informational and ministry purposes.

Content provided through the Service:

• Does not constitute professional counseling.
• Does not constitute medical, legal, or financial advice.
• Should not replace guidance from qualified professionals when needed.

Users are responsible for how they apply information provided through the Service.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information responsibly.

LightWell and Deaf Millennial Project do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if:

You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LightWell and Deaf Millennial Project make no warranties regarding:

• Availability of the Service.
• Accuracy of content.
• Continuous or uninterrupted operation.
• Freedom from errors, defects, or harmful components.

We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available or error-free.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Deaf Millennial Project, its officers, employees, volunteers, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

• Indirect or consequential damages.
• Loss of data.
• Loss of goodwill.
• Service interruptions.
• Errors or omissions in content.

Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
