FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Awaken is an annual conference of Deaf Millennial Project. Our heart is to bring together our generation and leaders to equip them in the gospel movement of evangelism and discipleship-making. If you’re between the ages of 18 and 35, it’s for you! If you’re older and a leader and want to learn how to equip and engage the next generation, this is for you!
Awaken starts the evening of Friday, August 29th, and ends around 2 PM on August 31st
We encourage you to book your return flight after 2 PM on Sunday. Or even make it an evening flight to give you a chance to explore Nashville after the conference is over.
Yes. Awaken is for you if you’re between 18 and 35. Under 18? Please email us for special permission at awaken@deafmillennial.com.
Our target audience is those who identify as Deaf and Hard of Hearing. However, we do have limited tickets for hearing young adults and leaders. Once those tickets are sold out, they are “sold out.”
Sponsorships and Vendors are what help Awaken be successful.

SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER!
Awaken Conference Volunteers This language comes from Psalm 84:10: “Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.” A Volunteer is someone who understands the privilege of being in the presence of God — and chooses to help others encounter Him too. Volunteers at Awaken are not simply filling a role. They are preparing the way. Some will greet at check-in. Some will manage production. Some will serve behind the scenes. Some will help on stage. But all share the same heartbeat: To open the door for Deaf young adults and leaders to encounter Jesus. A Volunteer says: “I’ve experienced God’s presence — and I want others to experience it too.” They would rather hold the door than be anywhere else because their focus has shifted away from themselves and onto the mission. Especially in a year like Send Me, Door Holders are not just serving an event — they are stewarding a movement. They are helping create moments where someone might: Say yes to Jesus Say yes to their calling Say yes to being sent And there is no greater privilege. Sign up today
